I came across this picture this past week and it brought back so many memories and feelings. I miss my little boys. They're all grown up now. :( And I love that Mike is dressed in his SWAT gear and snuggled up with his little guys. So sweet.

Has it really been 8 months?!

A big part of our spring and summer has been spent on the boat. The boys love to wakeboard so much and it's such a great thing to do as a family. We went to a wakeboard competition a few weeks ago and Wyatt took first place in his division. I was such a proud mama! Hayden did well too, but biffed it a couple times. He has another one coming up this weekend that he's practicing up for. Hope he gets in a good run!
I love and adore my family, and am so glad I'm where I'm at in my life. Hopefully I'll be back to post again soon... :)

Zach's Bday
Last week was my nephew, Zach's birthday. He turned 20, which is crazy because he was 4 years old when Mike and I got married! Man I'm old! Anyway it was a fun day at Lori's house. Of course, she had the best food ever and tons of it. So, we just hung out and ate and laughed a lot.
This picture is of me and Zach's girlfriend, Jessica. I showed up and low and behold... we were both wearing the same t-shirt. I guess great minds think alike!
Wyatt, Mike, Zach, Jessica, Hayden and Grandma (Lori) just chillin' in the family room.

Zach, blowing out his 20 candles.
Zach and Jessica. Aren't they darling?!

Saturday with the Fam @ Raging Waters
We went for a family outing to Raging Waters this past Saturday. This is the slide that everyone went on but me, including my DAD & MOM! They are so cool. I couldn't believe my mom did it especially. She's turned in to quite the dare devil!
Hayden, Wyatt and Mike waiting in line to go on the "scary slide".
The kids thought it would be funny if they stacked all the tubes and put Tristan inside. Tristan obviously thought it was a great idea too.

Our little spot on the grass to chill and EAT.

All in all it was a great day. The kids had a great time and the adults got to play and relax. Not too shabby!

Thankful Thursday
Today I am thankful for my pioneer heritage. I thought it was quite fitting because of the holiday. I have so many amazing and faithful ancestors and I wouldn't be here today without them. The one I think it especially cool is my great, great grandfather, Martin Hansen. He discovered the first cave of Mount Timpanogos. He was such an adventurous guy and was in the canyon hunting and found a small cave opening. Most would turn and go the other way, but he crawled in not knowing what the heck could have been in there. He then saw some amazing stuff and brought a couple of his buddies back the next day to explore further. He's in lots of Utah history books, and I'm just proud to be part of his family tree!Who are your ancestors? I'd love to hear!

Happy Birthday Traci!
Today is my sis-in-law's birthday and I just have to let her know how much I adore her. We went out the other night for the bdays and Hayden told her she looked 37. So we'll go with that. Happy "37th" birthday Traci! We love ya! :) This is a picture of Traci and her "guyfriend" Gerald. You can tell he just adores her and she seems happier than ever!

Me and my cute mom!

Yesterday was a great day... Wyatt left for scout camp for a week, and right after we sent him on his way, I got this amazing call from my mom saying that my aunt probably had an extra ticket to the American Idol concert... would I like to go? I said of course I would like to go! Apparently her friend bought some "great seat" tickets to sell before another show was announced, so she was stuck with them. Her loss was our gain. We had AWESOME SEATS! It was so fun to see the final 10 up front in person! My favorite performances were, of course, David A., David C., Carly Smithson, Michael Johns, Jason Castro and Brooke White. But everyone did a really great job. The funniest part of the whole night was that I had some girl sitting next to me that was literally on drugs, and her dancing was way less than par. We laughed for a solid hour over that. I tried to pretend I was videoing the screen and got a small bit... not the best mind you, but you'll get the idea.

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday. I love her so much and am so glad she was born! She has been so good to me and my kids and I appreciate all she does for us! She is so smart and I really look up to her. Thanks for everything and have a great day Lori!

4th of July 2008
Because we were camping and you couldn't do fireworks in the state park, we went in to Manti to watch them instead. We thought it was gonna be some small town show, but we were wrong! They had a pre-show at the high school with live music and a big celebration. Then, they started the fireworks. It was so cool, because the temple was right there in the background, and they played patriotic music the whole time. What a fun family night it turned out to be!

Palisade Lake 2008
Our family went to Palisade Lake for the "4th" weekend this year. It was so fun! We usually go every year, but usually in June or August. The lake is so small that you can't have motorboats on it. The kids just kayak and fish all day long. I sat in a chair and read a book most of the time. That's the life!
This pic is of Hayden after a hike with Grandma. He found a lizard. Fun stuff!
