Memory Tag

I got this from Misty's blog. It sounds fun, except that a lot of the people that leave comments for me don't really know me in person, but oh well. I'll give it a try. Here's the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Favorite Monday

Today's "Favorite Monday" theme is flower. My favorite flower would have to be an orchid. I think they are amazing. So different, but gorgeous and there are so many different kinds. So, there you have it. Next time you're out searching for a bouquet for me... make sure it inlcudes orchids. :)

Because we own a Land Rover, we always get invited to their annual events. It usually takes place in Moab, but this year they decided to switch it up a bit and do a day activity. So, we went down to Grantsville to a shooting range. It actually was really fun and they had great food and awater balloon fight for the kids too.

I'm sure I'll get "Mom of the Year" for this one. See Wyatt's face and how red it is? Well, he went kayaking with his uncle Todd and cousin Bryan the day before and I didn't put ANY sunscreen on him. Feel free to pat me on the back or give me a high five next time you see me. Oh and Mike's gonna LOVE me for posting this pic of him I'm sure.

OMG!!!

I just woke up this morning and DEVRI has completely changed my whole blog layout! Isn't it darling? I'm such a nimwit on the computer and couldn't figure out how to do it. She was so sweet and did if for me! This is a girl that I have never met before except through blogging. How awesome is that? Thanks so much Devri! I love it! Now everyone get over to her blog and check her out! :)

I took, Wyatt & Hayden and the Wadsworth girls to our neighborhood pool the other day and we met up with Tiff and their cousins. The kids had a great time, but the only problem was that Hayden wouldn't stop posing for the pictures like this....

And this... the kid kills me.

Thankful Thursday

This week I'm thankful for...

1. My sis-in-law Tiffany. She is truly the BEST! I completely adore her. She is always willing to help me out in any situation. She's so humble and has the cutest personality and I just love hangin' out with her! I'm so grateful my bro was smart and married her and not some lame girl!!

2. Corn on the cob stands. They're going up around here which means there'll be corn soon. Mmmmmm... I can't wait!

3. Lip Gloss. I'm addicted and couldn't live without it. I probably have 500 different tubes, but will buy another in a heartbeat if it looks like something I'll like. Good thing we don't have a Sephora up this way.

4. My front loader washer and dryer. I think I stuffed 50 towels in one load today. Okay, maybe that's a bit exaggerated, but it was a lot!

5. "Get Smart" (the movie). I laughed so hard at this movie, I had tears rolling down my cheeks! Loved it. Go see it now!

Lake Powell 2008

We went to Lake Powell a couple weeks ago with the boys and all our good friends. It was such a blast! We stayed on our friends' houseboat that was seriously pimped out! The kids had a great time fishing, wakeboarding and riding the waverunners... that is until they got pulled over and got tickets for $100. Anyway, the following are pics from our trip:

Happy Birthday Aubry!

To my sister, Aubry today! She's 32, and I just want to tell her how much I love and miss her. She lives in CA and we don't see her very much. She's such a free spirit and I really admire her. I don't even have a recent photo of her... how sad is that. Anyway, hope she has the best bday ever! Love ya sis!

I hope I'm the right Holly...

I was just visiting Mindi's blog and she was "tagged" by a friend. I love to read these about people I don't know very well. It gives me lots of insight to their soul. Ok, maybe not that dramatic, but it's good info. Anyway, at the end of this said post, she mentioned 5 people she would like to see do this as well. So, here's my dilemma... She said Holly S. The reason I think that's me is:

1. She used to call me Holly S. because of the "saratoga fam".

2. I want to be her friend.

3. Ok, that's all I got. I just want to be her friend.

I guess my only option is to do the tag and find out after I publish it if I'm a complete idiot and there really is another Holly S. that I don't know about. So, here goes....

1. I love to gut fish. Since I was little and my dad would take me fishing, I've always had a fascination with cleaning fish guts out. I know, a little crazy... but that's me!

2. I don't really like Chocolate. Kinda weird, I know, but I'd rather Jolly Ranchers or Sour Patch Kids any day.

3. I don't like surprises. My husband threw me the best surprise party one year, but i totally ruined it, because I don't like being the only person not knowing what's going on.

Happy Birthday Tristan!

Today is my nephew, Tristan's birthday! He is 2 years old and just the cutest, sweetest and funniest little boy. My boys absolutely ADORE him too! He had his birthday party last night and got hooked up with some really cool stuff. As usual though, all he cared about was the ball he got. Funny kid! The picture above was taken on Christmas day, but again... the ball.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for....

1. Kids that are old enough to tend while I leave and meet my new blogging buddy, Amy for lunch! (To my surprise, I got to meet Collette too!) They're both the cutest!

2. A great husband! My guy, Mike has been working his butt off lately and I just want to let him know that I truly appreciate him! He is such a great dad too! I am a very lucky girl!

3. Organic (non-salmonella) tomatoes. My very favorite food is fresh mozerella cheese, tomatoes and lemon juice. I eat it every day for lunch and it wouldn't work without the tomatoes! So, thank you Costco!

4. Summer! Finally it feels good outside. I love summer days and nights. I'm trying to enjoy every day, 'cause I know it won't last long.

5. Aveeno lotion. When I got back from Lake Powell, my feet felt like sandpaper. Aveeno has done the trick to get them back in working order.

Favorite Monday

Today's "Favorite Monday" theme is your favorite summer activity. Mine has to be on the lake with my family. We LOVE to go boating. It's a great activity for everyone. You can, swim, layout, wakeboard, tube, eat, listen to good tunes... all while being in good company. A runner up would have to be summer concerts. Since Usana opened, we always go to 3 or 4 concerts. We get lawn seats with tons of our friends. It's very kick back and super fun!

This week I am especially thankful for my dad! He is the best guy I know. He is humble, loving, smart, funny, honest, sensitive, handsome and has integrity. He is such a great example to me and I am truly blessed to be his daughter! Happy Father's Day on Sunday Dad!

1. Wyatt and Hayden. This week has been quite pleasant since school is out. The boys have done their chores without even being asked, and without complaining. They're great kids, and I'm lucky to be their mom. Hopefully I'm saying nice things about them next week too....


2. My cousin Rodney. He lives in Newfoundland and we still keep in touch and are such great friends. I love his girlfriend, Ginny too! Hope they come to visit soon!



3. Lake Powell. Going for a few days soon. I love that place!



4. Cute Shoes. No matter how you're feeling about yourself, shoes never make you look fat!



5. X-box 360. Keeps the kids out of my hair when I need a break.

So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon of another one of Tib's great ideas. She always does "favorite monday". There's a theme each week, so you have to check out her blog to see what it is.
